Smoking >> Think againHave you been offered a cigarette? Have you thought about trying smoking? Or maybe you have one every now and again. It’s your body, your life and your choice, but you might be surprised at the number of ways smoking can affect your health. Everyone knows the link between smoking and lung cancer but it can have many other effects on your body and your life. Smoking can give you bad breath and make your clothes stink; it gives you early wrinkles and skin problems; it makes your fingers and teeth go yellow; it makes your chest wheeze and your nose run. Really attractive to the girl or guy of your dreams! There are more than 50 different diseases and disorders that are caused, or made worse, by smoking. Smoking is responsible for about one third of all cancer deaths and one in six deaths from heart disease. The trouble is that the younger you are when you start smoking, the worse the effects on your health. Use our x-ray machine to find out what some of these effects are by scrolling over a part of the body.
